Product Description
A realistic blood simulator designed for field personnel to practice blood flow control skills in severely bleeding trauma patients, practice techniques and skills in applying gauze to wounds, and practice using hemostatic devices. It creates realistic simulated blood and clots that closely resemble real blood when used with TrueClot Simulated Hemostatic Gauze on a training mannequin or a simulated wound. It can also be used to simulate blood clots on wounds for wound simulation to support medical personnel training or surgical practice when used with TrueClot Clotting Solution.
TrueClot Blood Simulant is available as a ready-to-use liquid or as a concentrated solution for easier transport and storage. Simply mix with water before use.
TrueClot Blood Simulant and TrueClot Blood Simulant concentrate are safe and non-toxic to users. They can be washed off skin and clothing with just soap and water and can be disposed of with general waste.
The simulated blood will not clot unless used in conjunction with Simulated Hemostatic Gauze or Clotting Solution.
The mixed blood simulation solution has a shelf life of 3 years from the manufacturing date stated on the top of the package, with the expiration date stated on the top of the bottle.
The concentrated blood culture has a shelf life of 3 years from the manufacturing date stated on the top of the package and a shelf life of 12 months after mixing with water for use. To extend the shelf life, it is recommended to mix with distilled water instead of using plain water.
