TrueClot - Chest Seal Application Trainer

The use of a chest seal is an important practice for controlling blood flow in critically ill patients. The TrueClot® Chest Seal Application Trainer is an advanced medical training device designed for practicing critical care skills. It can be used in two ways: directly on a tabletop or on a training dummy to simulate real-world situations.

In a tabletop training format, the Chest Seal training manikin realistically simulates bleeding and air bubble formation to mimic the signs of a Tension Pneumothorax (severe air leak within the lung). Trainees will practice applying the Chest Seal to a wound to practice proper technique and positioning. It also simulates continuous blood flow along with simulated inspiratory and exhalation rhythms to help trainees clearly understand the process and function of each type of Chest Seal in terms of sealing and ventilation. In addition, using TrueClot's proprietary material, the Chest Seal can be peeled off and reused multiple times for continuous skill development.

When the trainee is ready for real-world simulation training, the TrueClot® Chest Seal Application Trainer can be attached to a tactical vest via the included MOLLE Velcro, where the trainee will learn Chest Seal application techniques and skills, including managing a moving patient.

The flexibility of the training dummy allows the trainer to freely adjust the entrance and exit points of the torso wound. The suit also comes with a blood simulation kit consisting of a blood bag, a rubber tube, and a rubber pump to enhance the simulation of continuous blood flow during wear-on training. The blood flow simulation system is seamlessly hidden inside the vest, and the rubber tubes are inserted through the MOLLE slots for maximum realism and to prevent tangling.

The kit includes: a simulated wound model with simulated wound entry and exit points, a squeeze bottle for tabletop training, a tactical vest with MOLLE velcro, a bag of fake blood, a rubber pump (for pumping blood to simulate blood pumping) and a set of hoses with Quick Connectors for wearable or simulation training.
